Mission, Purpose, and Vision

CHAD, Inc.’s Mission is to build a strong, cohesive network of harpists of color, particularly those of African descent, and to use various resources to help cultivate the growth of new, eager harpists of color; nurture the development of intermediate, aspiring harpists of color; promote the progress of advanced, ambitious harpists of color; and support the career of seasoned professional harpists of color.

CHAD Inc.’s Purpose is to create or locate performance opportunities for its members in order to help build reputations, garner experience, and provide exposure.

CHAD, Inc.’s Vision is to provide scholarships or grants in harp performance  or harp composition.  A semi-annual tuition scholarship or grant competition will be available to any student of color desiring  private or group harp lessons from a private harp instructor, or institution (i.e. a performing arts school,  college or university) offering harp performance or harp composition instruction.
